We are happy about the tax reduction of our government and like to forward this to our guests. We reduced our internet fares by 35% from 1st January 2010. On top there will be W-lan in all baxpax areas or free.

From this Sunday (13.12.09) the undergroundstation in front of our Hostel is no longer called "Zinnowitzer Str.". It is renamed to "Naturkundemuseum". Please keep that name in mind if you take the U-bahn. You will (still) find us at Chausseestr. 102. We hope to see you soon.

The Berlin magazine of chamber of industry and commerce published an article about the local Hostelmarket. Needless to say, that we are mentioned ;-)! You can also see two very nice pictures of our baxpax Mitte Hostel and Cosmo Lounge.

The Chilean Band "Chicotrujillo" stayed with us for a week and changed our lounge into a rehearsal room. All for their gig at Cafe Zapata on 04.09.09. The next months they will tour through Brazil and Spain. We hope they are coming back to Berlin soon!

Right in time for their new release "Schöne neue Welt" Culcha Candela came by and spend an afternoon on our roof terrace. Whilst enjoying our BBQ their played a match table tennis and besides the cocktail they gave an interview to Yagaloo TV. Unfortunately they didn't hop in our pool even though it was quite tempting. It was great to welcome the boys and hopefully they will come around again.

After sensational live screenings of FC Barcelona matches at baxpax downtown hostel hotel during the last season, the German Newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine reported about it last Sunday. As a meeting point for "Penya Barcelonista Berlin Culé"(fanclub Barcelona) our house was crowded with Catalonian visitors many times! We are looking forward to the next season and lots of cheering fans!

Today we officially started our summer action "What’s your place to be in Berlin?" in cooperation with Berlin Partner. Invited guests, press, radio and TV joined the opening and had a look at the first "Comment Wall". Also painters and artists from the Berlin Wall came by and painted little artefacts on our "Comment Wall" canvases.

Last week, three articles about baxpax Hostels Hotels were released in german newspapers and magazines. On Thursday, Berliner Morgenpost introduced the Naked Art event, implemented by participants of the BBC TV Show "The last Millionaire" in baxpax downtown Hostel Hotel.
The national Paper Welt am Sonntag published an one-page Interview with our general Manager A. Zelck about the hostel scene in Berlin. The national magazine Stern introduced baxpax downtown Hostel Hotel as a special and fancy accomodation.
